A couple of years ago I got a birthday card that came in this envelope with my name in hand-rendered type. The question down the bottom in my Mum's handwriting reads, "Do you know this font? I think it's called The Fat." I love it.

Do you mean that you love the font, or that you love your mother?
Er, not to imply that you don't love your mother...
And nor would I refer to my mother as "it".
The intention was to ruminate on love of one's mother leading naturally to love of everything about her (including handwriting.)
Alas, expressing the above more pithily led to pronoun confusion.
